The All-in-One Solution for Adaptive Robotic Automation

MOTOMAN NEX-Series – AI-Powered Adaptive Handling Robots

The MOTOMAN NEX-Series is a next-generation range of AI-powered adaptive handling robots, with payload capacities from 4 kg to 35 kg, engineered for intelligent automation in unstructured environments. Built on the groundbreaking MOTOMAN NEXT platform, these 6-axis industrial robots leverage NVIDIA Jetson Orin-based autonomous control units (ACUs) and integrated AI processing to detect, understand, evaluate, and autonomously respond to changing conditions and workpiece variants using cameras, force sensors, and advanced perception.

MOTOMAN NEXT seamlessly integrates classic robot control (OT) with data-driven AI capabilities (IT) on a single platform, powered by NVIDIA Isaac accelerated libraries, ROS 2, and an open Linux Docker environment. This gives developers and integrators complete freedom to build, deploy, and scale adaptive robotic applications for food processing, logistics and order fulfilment, agriculture, manufacturing assembly, and warehouse automation.

With five industrial models (NEX4, NEX7, NEX10, NEX20, NEX35) and two collaborative variants (NHC12, NHC30), the NEX-Series delivers human-like perception, real-time decision-making, and superior motion accuracy – making it the ideal solution for automating complex handling and assembly tasks that were previously impossible to automate.

Designed to bring automation into previously unautomated areas, the MOTOMAN NEX-Series combines cutting-edge AI with proven Yaskawa robotic performance. Unlike traditional industrial robots limited to pre-programmed tasks, the NEX-Series manipulators autonomously adapt to new situations – detecting workpiece variants, planning optimal motion paths, and executing complex handling tasks without manual reprogramming.

Powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin autonomous control unit and NVIDIA Isaac accelerated AI libraries, the NEX-Series delivers real-time computer vision, 6D pose estimation, and intelligent motion planning directly on the robot controller – eliminating the need for external PCs and reducing latency. The compact YNX1000 controller unifies robot control and AI processing in a single, space-efficient unit.

The open development environment supports Python, C++, ROS 2, and Docker containers, enabling engineers and integrators to rapidly develop and deploy custom AI robotics applications. Pre-installed APIs for motion control, 2D/3D vision, force control, and image processing accelerate development time and reduce integration costs.

Ideal for industries facing labour shortages and increasing demand for flexible automation, the NEX-Series excels in adaptive handling and assembly across food processing, logistics and e-commerce fulfilment, agriculture, automotive manufacturing, and general industrial applications.
